Silver Dagger once owned by Saddam Hussein.
The Dagger from Saddam Hussein
The Dagger, is about 35 years old or older, made of Silver with a
Steel Blade, Red Tassel Harness and in a Blue Felt Box. Now an instrument for peace or symbol to an end to Saddam's dictatorship
and war crimes through its offer of an added reward for the capture of Saddam
Hussein, sometimes spelled Hassan.
It was given to an individual between 1972 and 1973, as a parting gift when he worked through the US government as a civilian medical engineer and as a new medical instrument trainer for the Middle East. He was given this
Silver 9" Dagger for a memento from Saddam Hussein and Saddam's cousin. His parting words were "use it to kill a Jewish person", said in jest, but then
Saddam's actions throughout the years made it seem like a very bad joke. Later Saddam cousin who was with the gift giving was distrusted by Saddam and Saddam had his own cousin killed.
