In anticipation of a close presidential election in the United States, the government of Liberia (which in the past has released stamps of every US president from Washington to Clinton) prepared one stamp and one souvenir sheet design of each of the two leading candidates. These were created with the intent of eventually issuing stamps depicting a portrait of the winner and destroying the other. However, amid conflicting media reports and general election uncertainty, both were inadvertently sold to a limited number of dealers. Each stamp proclaims the candidate -- the 43rd President of the United States. The Liberian government has since pulled the items from local sale and you can be one of the few to get the entire collection with both Bush and Gore as the 43rd President in this 4 item set: one stamp sheet and one souvenir sheet of Albert Gore and George W. Bush. These stamps are in mint, unhinged condition.

Apollo 11 launched three astronauts on the most significant space journey in history. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the Moon. This limited-edition frame set commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. The frame includes the limited-edition cachet (first-day cover), which features the stamp that honors the "First Man On The Moon." The cover was postmarked from Washington, D.C. on the date it was issued, September 9, 1969. The cover also includes a special "Moon Landing" postmark from July 20, 1969. In addtion, the frame includes several lapel-pin emblems, such as the NASA meatball emblem, Apollo Program emblem, and a replica emblem of the plaque left on the Moon by the astronauts. The frame also features limited-edition emblems of the Apollo 11 insignia and the 30th anniversary design. Each frame is individually numbered. Only 1,000 will be made.
